Enjoy a guided visit to the Fontainebleau Palace, used by the French kings as a residence.
Duration of tour: 5 hours
The Fontainebleau Palace was a favourite hunting residence of the French kings. The apartments occupied by Napoleon were recently restored and are included in our tour. Barbizon has been known as an artistic centre since the 19th Century when Jean-Francois Millet and Robert Louis Stevenson lived there. Your tour begins with a short drive through the village of Barbizon (tour does not stop here and passes through only), still occupied by artists and antique shops of yesteryear. On leaving Barbizon, you will cross a small selection of the famous Fontainebleau Forest. Then you will enjoy a guided visit of the palace and free time to walk in the gardens, before heading back to Paris.
Transportation by coach, entrance and guided visit of Fontainebleau Palace and view of Fontainebleau Forest.
